In addition to that, the Hero of the Wild set retains the Master Sword beam upgrade seen on all the other tunics. For clearing them you get an additional 8 defense points on this set, which means each piece clocks in at 28 when fully upgraded, granting you a whopping 84 defense when fully equipped. To unlock it, you'll need to clear all 120 shrines, which is no small feat. The Hero of the Wild set is unlike the others. The throwback tunics all max out at 20 defense apiece, putting them in line with some of the better gear in the game - though they're still outstripped by some of the best standard equipment, including Link's new Champion Tunic. The green tunics all share the same stats as well, save for the exception of the final tunic unique to Breath of the Wild. If you have the Master Sword, try throwing it and you'll see what we mean. It's important to mention that all of these green tunics offer the same bonus, which is a power-up to the Master Sword's beam attack, which has been revived in Breath of the Wild.
